Free MVP for your startup

Turn one useful part of your startup idea into a working web app. Selected applications receive 40 hours of engineering at no charge; any third-party costs are agreed with you before work begins.

What the work covers

One workflow and the data storage and access controls it needs.

One shared engineer for four hours a day, over ten working days in an agreed two-week delivery window.

Scoping, setup, building, testing, fixes, deployment, handover, and founder revisions all count toward the same 40 hours.

How we work through it

  1. Apply with your idea, its intended users, and the one task a useful first version should help them complete.

  2. If selected, agree the workflow, required inputs, costs, ownership terms, and start date before work begins.

  3. Work with the engineer through the agreed build, feedback, testing, deployment, and handover within the 40-hour allocation.

Questions you may have

Will you build any startup idea?

We select applications where one useful, working workflow can be delivered within 40 engineering hours. We agree that scope with you before accepting the work.

How does the 40-hour allocation work?

One shared engineer works on your MVP for four hours a day over ten working days. The 40 hours cover scoping and setup through building, testing, fixes, deployment, and handover.

When does the two-week window start?

It starts on the agreed date after selection, scope agreement, and the required inputs are ready. Applying does not reserve a start date.

What will I need to pay for?

RocketApex does not charge for the agreed 40 hours of engineering. You cover any hosting, domain, or API costs your app needs. We disclose those costs before you agree to the work.

Can I give feedback and request changes?

Yes. Founder feedback, revisions, testing, and fixes must fit within the same 40 hours. We agree one useful workflow rather than an open-ended feature list.

Will I receive the source code?

Yes. Source-code handover is included, and we agree ownership terms before work starts.

Do I have to hire you afterwards or give up equity?

No. There is no equity requirement or mandatory paid retainer. Any future paid work is optional and needs a separate agreement.
